How the lookups work
Pay only for lookups — and watch them happen
You pay per fare lookup: one search per unique route and dates, never one per person. Nothing runs unless you ask, cached results are reused, and a per-run ceiling stops runaway checks.
Example: 40 shortlisted staff across 3 weekends from a dozen airports ≈ 36 lookups — same-airport candidates share one search.

Fare checks are opt-in per run; the shortlist itself never triggers one.
Shared and capped
One lookup per route, a hard per-run ceiling, cache hits never counted twice.

Can the lookups run away?
Structurally, no: they're opt-in per run, shared per route, and hard-capped. Doing nothing costs nothing — there is no background fetching.
Do we need this yet?
If your staff mostly drive, skip it. It earns its keep the first season airfare decides between two names on a shortlist.
What happens if we cancel?
Your staffing runs and shortlists stay as they are. Only new fare fetches stop — switch it back on for peak season only.
